Chapter 5: Senility
The Masaki case reaches its conclusion as Tsurugi and Yuka work to defuse the situation without lethal force. Meanwhile, political pressure surrounding the Simurian vote intensifies back in Tokyo. Cross meets with Jabaloma and makes no effort to hide his belief that negotiation is futile. A quiet dinner between Maru and the Okkotsu siblings offers the first real glimpse into Maru's past: the loss of his parents, his adoption by mentor Dura Val Bobbidi Mechika, and his complicated relationship with his bitter twin brother.
