Chapter 11: Cultural Exchange
A government-sponsored cross-cultural exchange event is arranged to build goodwill ahead of the vote. The chapter is the series' most comedic: Maru is enthusiastically adopted by schoolchildren, Tsurugi is mortified by the attention, and Dabura — stoic, terrifyingly powerful — experiences instant mutual infatuation with nutritionist Kyoko Tomoe. Usami notes quietly that Kyoko and Dabura's obvious connection may be the most persuasive argument for coexistence that either side could produce.
