Ui Ui

Ui Ui, the younger brother of Mei Mei from the original series, reappears in Modulo now elderly and notably wearing Mei Mei's trademark hairstyle — suggesting he may have used his soul-transfer cursed technique to place his soul into his sister's body. He appears before Dabura's duel with Yuka, remarking that Dabura will finally find a worthy opponent. He is later seen with several disciples, watching recordings of the Tokyo battle. Ui Ui's reappearance is handled with characteristic Modulo economy: a single visual joke carries an enormous amount of implication about what happened to Mei Mei, what Ui Ui was willing to do to preserve her, and what the decades since the Culling Games have done to those who survived them in unconventional ways.
