Chapter 3: Swimming in the Forest
Maru accompanies Tsurugi and Yuka into the forested outskirts of Tokyo where anomalous cursed energy signatures have been reported. The mission doubles as an unofficial test of Maru's combat capabilities. Maru demonstrates his Chaos and Harmony technique for the first time, to both siblings' surprise. A brief, unguarded moment in the forest — Maru laughing freely for the first time since arriving on Earth — quietly shifts something in Yuka's perception of their new partner.
